Cookie Policy

Strictly necessary

We use browser localStorage to remember which lessons you've completed and to re-display your certificate confirmation on a refresh. This is essential to the service and does not require consent under PECR.

Stripe checkout

When you start a checkout, Stripe sets cookies on its own domain to process the payment securely. See Stripe's cookie policy.

Google Ads (with your consent)

If you click Accept on the cookie banner, we load Google's tag (gtag.js) which sets cookies such as _gcl_au and NID on google.com / googleadservices.com. We use these to measure which of our Google Ads led to a purchase, so we can keep the courses affordable. We do not run any other analytics or advertising trackers.

We operate Google Consent Mode v2: until you choose, all advertising and analytics signals are set to denied and no cookies are written. If you click Reject, no advertising cookies are written at all.

When a purchase completes, we send a SHA-256 hash of your email to Google so they can match the conversion to the original ad click (Enhanced Conversions). The plaintext email is never sent to Google.

Managing your choice

To change your decision, clear the fsc-cookie-consent entry from your browser's site storage and refresh the page — the banner will reappear. You can also clear all stored data at any time from your browser settings. For questions, contact support@foodsafetycertificateuk.co.uk.
