Food Safety Supervisor Certificate — UK Online HACCP Level 2 Training
A food safety supervisor in a UK food business is the person responsible for designing and maintaining the written food safety management system — typically the head chef, the F&B manager, the contract catering supervisor or the owner-operator. HACCP Level 2 is the standard online certificate for that role.
Our HACCP Level 2 course covers the seven HACCP principles in practical detail: identifying hazards (microbiological, chemical, physical, allergen), setting critical limits, designing monitoring procedures, defining corrective actions, verification, record-keeping and reviewing the system. It is 5 lessons, a 35-question final test with a 75% pass mark, and the certificate is downloadable the moment the test is passed.
Most small UK food businesses need at least one supervisor with HACCP Level 2 plus the rest of the kitchen at HACCP Level 1 awareness and Level 2 Food Hygiene. That training stack is what environmental health officers most commonly expect to see in a small restaurant, café, takeaway or contract catering operation.
The HACCP Level 2 certificate is the practical evidence that the person responsible for the food safety management system has been trained to design it. It pairs naturally with Level 2 Food Hygiene, which we recommend the supervisor also holds in their own name.
